Africa Day 12th International Conference

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, in partnership with the European Commission and the Chatham House Institute, is organising the 12th International Conference Africa Day. Climate security will take centre stage as the main theme of this year's event.

20-21 April 2023

Climate change poses one of the most serious threats to global security. Under the theme "Africa and Europe: Climate Security for the Future – Global Challenges, Local Actions", this year's Conference will address different aspects of climate security, the way it is addressed internationally within the scope of the UN Security Council, the COP28 Climate Summit, the role of civil society, women and young people in dealing with climate change, building local resilience to climate change, and the global climate finance challenge.
