Boubacar T. Assoumana
Boubacar T. Assoumana is currently working with AGRHYMET Regional Centre, a specialised institution of the Permanent Inter-State Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel (Comité Permanent Inter-Etats de Lutte contre la Sécheresse dans le Sahel (CILSS). Prior to that, he worked with Mercy Corps as a Project Manager on resilience to environmental shocks and as project officer in on climate information services. In this role he investigated the internal and external factors of a climate information services system that promotes the access, use and effectiveness of climate information for smallholder farmers. He also conducted assessments on food security and natural resource management. Boubacar T. Assoumana holds a PhD in Climate Change and Agriculture from a Germany German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)-funded project called WASCAL, hosted by the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Cape Coast, Ghana.
