Christianne Zakour is an advocate for environmental governance and climate justice from Trinidad and Tobago. She is a steering committee member of the UNEP Major Group of Children and Youth, the independent and self-organised youth constituency for UNEP which facilitates youth participation in UNEP environmental policy and governance. She is a project officer for the Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance and helped to carry out a 1 million tree planting project across the Caribbean between 2020 and 2021. She is also a member of the Sustainable Ocean Alliance and is an ambassador for the Caribbean Climate Justice Project. Christianne holds an Msc. in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Sustainable Development from the University of the West Indies.
