Oslo Forum 2024

12 June 2024

The Oslo Forum offers a platform for global leaders, mediators, conflict parties and experts to exchange around peace and dialogue opportunities in fragile and conflict-affected contexts. The inclusion of environmental and climate-related factors in peacemaking now figures highly on the Forum’s agenda.

adelphi, in partnership with the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) will convene for a Climate Scenario Table-Top Exercise on the Lake Chad Basin Region on 12 June during the 21st edition of the Oslo Forum. This exercise will explore how peace interventions, mediation and dialogue can affect climate impacts, improve preparedness and response capacity while supporting sustainable peace outcomes in the face of climate change. Participants will be guided to identify a set of entry points on how to shape peacemaking interventions in a changing climate.
