The Climate Change and Disasters Group, as part of the Vulnerability and Poverty Reduction Team at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK, announces the launch of the new website as part of the Linking Climate Adaptation (LCA) Network: www.linkingclimateadaptation.org
The objective of the Linking Climate Adaptation (LCA) Network is to help communities, policy-makers, practitioners and academics share experiences and knowledge about adaptation to climate change. Funded by the Department for International Development and implemented by the Institute of Development Studies , the LCA Network is a web-based discussion forum with over 600 members from across the globe. The Network also aims to facilitate action research for climate change adaptation by vulnerable communities and host moderated online discussions on key adaptation topics.
This website also offers an Adaptation topic guide which includes:
- an introduction to the key issues and debates in the field of adaptation
- access to selected adaptation resources and summarised papers - available online and categorised under a number of key themes and geographic regions
- an index of organisations working on climate change adaptation
- access to messages and documents posted to the LCA Network.
