Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW) 2025
adelphi at HNPW
- 20 March 2025, 14:00-15:30 CET
Working in and on conflict: how climate and humanitarian action can support peace
Where: Online
Organizers: UNSSC and adelphi
Building on last year’s UNSSC-adelphi event at HNPW, which focused on understanding climate and environmental risks for increased resilience, conflict prevention and sustaining peace, this session will focus on responses. It will do so by presenting concrete examples from countries currently dealing with the impacts of climate change and conflict and providing insights from organizations striving to provide life-saving support, while building the resilience of vulnerable communities and supporting peace outcomes.
During the session, participants will have the opportunity to interact with speakers through interactive quiz and Q&A segments. This session will target practitioners, donors and researchers working at the intersection of climate, peace and security. This includes UN agencies, funds and programmes, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) operating at the national and local levels.
