The policy dimensions of cross-boundary climate-related human mobility | BCSC 2025

The session examined how climate change and environmental stressors shape mobility patterns and conflict dynamics, highlighting lessons and best practices to inform forward looking policy frameworks that reduce risks, foster resilience, and promote co operation for peacebuilding, adaptation, and development at national and regional levels.

The seventh edition of the Berlin Climate and Security Conference (BCSC) explored climate, conflict, and cooperation in a turbulent era. Better coordination and innovative collaborations are needed more than ever. Through taking stock of leading practice and convening figures from government, implementation organisations, and research, it advanced actionable climate security solutions amid growing instability. Hosted by adelphi global and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
