Climate – Conflict – Clash of Crises: Weathering the Risks | BCSC 2022

Neither climate action nor our efforts to sustain peace can preclude addressing climate impacts on peace and stability and its interlinkages with current geopolitical challenges. This panel laid the foundations to approach those conversations through the ensuing two days of the BCSC. This interactive discussion opened BCSC 2022 by setting out some shared common principles for coordinated action to better address cascading risks posed by climate change to peace, and asking which concrete steps can be taken to address these complex challenges.
