Catalysing the Implementation of NDCs in the Context of the 2030 Agenda through South-South Cooperation

South-South cooperation (SSC) as a complementary means of implementation provides great opportunities for developing countries to advance sustainable development pathways, in line with the Paris Agreement on climate change, individual Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.

This report explores ways to mainstream climate action into sustainable development through NDC implementation and how South-South cooperation can catalyse NDC implementation by fostering broader partnerships and enhancing information dissemination on available support. The report also showcases good examples of cooperation and advances United Nations entities’ South-South and triangular cooperation initiatives.
