The conceptual approach presented here provides a systematic way to understanding and addressing the linkages between climate change, peace and security. It was developed by the Climate Security Mechanism in collaboration with partners from across and beyond the UN system. It is meant to foster a shared approach to the analysis of climate-related security risks in the UN system and shape integrated and timely responses.
