More from BCSC 2025
The session focused on insights from the Joint Communication (2023) and the Progress Report (2025), highlighting the rising impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on military operations, and underscored the need to proactively safeguard readiness by leveraging EU frameworks and coordinating closely with NATO to maximise synergies at all levels.
The seventh edition of the Berlin Climate and Security Conference (BCSC) explored climate, conflict, and cooperation in a turbulent era. Better coordination and innovative collaborations are needed more than ever. Through taking stock of leading practice and convening figures from government, implementation organisations, and research, it advanced actionable climate security solutions amid growing instability.
