Regional Assessment for South-Eastern Europe: Security implications of climate change

OSCE_Report_EasternEurope_COVER

Climate change can impact security in a number of ways. The OSCE raises awareness, facilitates the identification and mapping of potential security risks stemming from climate change, and helps in addressing these risks through participatory approaches. The Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA) in partnership with the Berlin-based think tank adelphi, has embarked in 2020 on an extensive regional consultation process on climate change and security in South-Eastern Europe, which engaged representatives of governmental bodies, civil society organizations, academia from the region as well as regional and international organizations.
